Designer Maki Oh's NYFW Fall 2018 collection explores sensuality and efficiency

by - February 18, 2018

Lauded Nigerian designer Maki Oh has showcased her Fall-Winter 2018 collection at New York Fashion Week on Wednesday, February 14, 2018.

The theme for this collection was “lazy sensual" that serve as perfect sexy outfits. The goal of the Maki Oh collection is for today's modern woman to find a piece that will complement her own personal style, sexiness and dreams.

A look through this edit would reveal that there is indeed something special about that woman. The collection’s colour palette is in line with the custom of having two complimentary fabric colours.

There were versions that provided special elevations, like a plaid blazer with a sleeve cut in a different fabric or a tailored black coat with a single sleeve that opened with a ruffle.

Maki Oh, run by Amaka Osakwe, has had great success in the global fashion industry with stars such as Solange Knowles and Beyoncé and wearing her designs.
